The food at this place is great. The ice tea is made by a real southerner. I also love that you can have the buffet to go. I'm a vegetarian and they have lots of options!

If you are looking for a great place for traditional home cooking, this is it. Lots of variety of vegetables on the buffet along with a few meats, salad bar, and cold salads. Delicious!

Johnboy’s Home Cooking is truly a gem! The fried chicken is perfectly crispy and flavorful, while the mac and cheese tastes like comfort itself. Loved the fresh watermelon and cornbread muffins—they remind me of grandma’s cooking. The staff genuinely cares about making your visit enjoyable, always smiling and attentive. Prices are affordable, especially considering the generous portions. It’s my go-to spot when craving authentic Southern comfort food. Highly recommend! Visited on 5/6/2025 between 7:30 to 8pm My server was the sweetest girl I didn’t catch her name but I believe her ethnicity was Asian I believe that she also knew Spanish. The lady at the front desk with the glasses was the nicest lady very enjoyable and helped out multiple staff members throughout my entire visit from what I saw.

Absolutely delicious southern fare.it reminds me of my childhood. The staff are friendly and treat you right.

Great food, and great staff. Thank you to all of the wonderful staff. Been eating here for more than fifteen years and it's always consistently good food with fair prices

Best way I can describe it is homestyle cooking with a Southern influence. Kind of like a meat and three only a buffet. Food is tasty, hot and there is a good selection. They also have numerous salads and deserts. Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly and work hard to keep your table bussed during the meal and keep your drinks full. This is not a fancy place but it’s clean, fast and has good food. Worth a visit.

Traditional southern buffet with several meats and vegetables. It’s best if you go during peak times so that food is fresh. We’ve been here several times and we’ll continue to go. 13 a person, includes tea. Fried chicken is good. Whole catfish on Fridays. Very friendly staff.
